Your cover letter can be what makes you stand out from a stack of applications and get you called for an interview. Getting an offer can mean the difference between hearing nothing from an employer and finally getting hired.

Those who understand the need for cover letters understand that resumes aren’t enough to convey a person’s personality, motivations, habits, and other reasons why they would be great in a particular job. It’s not surprising that employers wouldn’t even bother to interview candidates if this weren’t true.
